When dry, these opaque polymer water beads are available in three sizes: 1 mm, 2.5 mm and 4.0 mm. When placed in warm water for several hours they swell up to several times their size! The 4 mm water absorbing beads turn into perfectly clear little spheres of 1.5 – 2.0 centimeters. They even bounce when you throw them on the floor!

· A minimum order of 20 kgs (44 lbs) of water beads is required. The colored SAP Spheres are not stocked in the USA. Allow 2-3 weeks for air freight delivery.
· Dye color is added in during the polymerization process and will NOT leach out in water!
MAKE YOUR OWN COLORS!!!
Here’s how to dye SAP water absorbing beads & create your own colored spheres:
Supplies needed:
1. SAP Spheres
2. Distilled water. (Tap water works but distilled water makes spheres grow bigger.)
3. Vegetable Food Coloring / Egg Dye
4. Dish Detergent
- Take 1/2 gallon of distilled water (or tap water) and warm up lightly on stove or in microwave. (This speeds absorption.)
- Add 10 -12 drops of food coloring (more or less depending on how intense you want the coloring)
- Add 2-3 drops of dish detergent. (The surfactant in this helps the dye to be absorbed into the SAP Sphere.)
- Stir lightly and add 1 teaspoon of SAP Spheres. Let stand & soak overnight.
- Viola! You now have colored SAP Spheres!
NOTE: You can also add fragrance to the SAP Spheres using the same ingredients and method. These can be used as beads for Smelly Jelly air fresheners!
